Proflex 3000

This is a flexible veneer ideal for laminating to radius, curved and flat surfaces. Proflex 3000 is a real wood NOT imitation wood. The wood veneer is bonded to a thin, moisture proof Craft Paper. After bonding it goes through a softening process and is then fine sanded.

The ply can then be applied to your surface using Contact glue or PVA Cold glue. Once the glue has set all that is needed for it's finishing is your desired lacquer to be applied.

Proflex 3000 is available in over 80 species. We stock a base variety but other species are available on special order.

Also on the market now is Twin ply flexible veneers. This product is both firmer and more flexible than the 'craft paper' veneers. Another very easy and stable product on offer is Veneer on a Phenolic backer, the back face looks like the back face of Formica and is plastic, all that is required when applying is two coats of contact glue.

Sheet Sizes

Proflex 3000 are 0.75mm thick and come in sheets 1220mm X 2440mm. Longer sheets up to 3100mm are available on special order.

Phenolic and Twin Ply are thicker at 1.25mm and also come in sheets 1220mm X 2440mm.
