Deluxe Light Ply

A new product of plywood that was developed on request by CKD Boats. Deluxe Light ply was produced due to the ever rising cost of Ockume Veneers used in marine plywood. Until now there has been no product produced to BS1088 standards to compete with the marine grade plywood that we are currently selling.

This new product not only is produced in a factory to full CE standards and will pass any of the rules laid down by the organization. But, it is lighter and will sell significantly cheaper than other BS1088 grade plywood now selling.

We have been testing the new product on the local boat building industry. They are all in agreement that Deluxe Light Ply is fantastic new product that not only will save them at least 50% in weight but also in cost. An astounding win-win situation.

Upgrades in exotic veneers will soon be available too. Stocks are being made in single face Cherry, Teak and Teak & Holly flooring. However other species will be made on request.

The NEW stock will be arriving at the end of June and will be available in 4mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, & 15mm thicknesses with a sheet size of 1220 x 2440mm.

Prices will be available soon, but are estimated at half our normal price for BS1088 Marine Ply!
